This archive seeks to document the stories of the black walnut trees south of Back Campus and north of University College.

To enter this archive, I will:
- Acknowledge the land on which the University of Toronto stands upon. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island.
- Recognize that nature is all around us, including our urban landscapes. As such, when we speak of protecting and conserving nature, this does not just include distant mountains and rivers, but the trees and bushes outside our buildings.
- Listen to the land with curiosity and gratitude for the many living beings that exist around and with us.
